I came without a job and I left with her – this is how vividly my participation in the project “Opole FALLING as a chance for young people!” summarizes 24-year-old Zuzanna Górka from Opole. – Managed to! He’s working. I am the editor of an internet portal. Zuzanna decided to participate in the project several months ago.

– I was in the last year of my studies. I was writing my master’s thesis and I wanted to somehow prepare myself to look for a job – he recalls. – Then it never occurred to me that I would find my dream job during the training.
This month Zuzanna will defend her MA thesis at the University of Opole, where she studied political science (specializing in journalism).
– I am one of the lucky ones who finish education and have a job. In addition, in his profession – says the satisfied girl. And, as he emphasizes, now he does what he likes. – And participation in the project has certainly helped me in this. I learned a lot – he adds.
This is not the only participant in the free project
The 23-year-old Aleksandra Ripel from Czarnowąs, who completed the course for the care of elderly and disabled people as part of the project, is also satisfied.
– I used to think that I would not be able to work with older people, that I prefer to do something else. After the training, I understood that I could do such a job, that it could give me satisfaction – he admits.
Earlier, Aleksandra chose a different career path. Three years ago she graduated from a gastronomic technical college and for two years she worked in her learned profession, she was a waitress. – After that, I couldn’t find anything. However, I found an internship in a nursing home – he recalls.
There she was an occupational therapist assistant and it was during her internship that she first thought that she was studying in the wrong direction. “Today I know it was a mistake,” he says.

Now Aleksandra says that she is more optimistic about the future. – I will look for a job in the profession that I like and I am even considering starting my studies – he adds.
23-year-old student of pedagogy, Monika Pietrucha from Główczyce in the Oleski poviat, also took part in the project. She opted for a driving instructor course.
– This is a profession related to science, with educating people, and this is what I would like to do in my life. It gives me great satisfaction – he says.
Monika, who is about to defend her MA thesis, dreamed of having a job at school. – But I know that it is hard to get a job. Especially in my neighborhood. That is why I decided to participate in the training. This is an additional “piece of paper”. It certainly won’t hurt, and it can help, he says.
As he announces, however, he does not intend to give up his dreams. – I will not give up and finally I will get my dream job – he argues.
And as she claims, it was her participation in the project that motivated her to think like this: – I am certainly more optimistic about the future and I am ready to fight for my own.
Courses and trainings are an opportunity for young people
72 unemployed under 25 years of age participated in the project “Opole FALLING as a chance for young people!”, which was implemented thanks to European Union co-financing by the Good Project Advisory Office in Opole.
As part of the project, its participants took part, inter alia, in the five-day “Parachute” workshop. – This is the most popular career planning program, used, among others, by in the USA or Canada – explains Marcin Kasprzak-Dżyberti, project coordinator. – Its aim is to help discover the individual interests and predispositions of participants, and then find a profession in which they can pursue themselves. Simply helping you create an image of your perfect job.
