Below you will find a list of the 10 highest paying professions in Poland and you will find out about the amount of earnings * in the most profitable positions. You will also learn how to manage your career in order to earn a lot in one of the professions mentioned.

10. place: Quality Engineer

Job description: The quality engineer controls all phases of the production process to ensure the highest quality of goods. His work is, inter alia, on developing inspection plans, approving production, conducting complaints proceedings, analyzes and laboratory tests and documenting their results.

How to get started to get a well-paid job? Usually employers require a university degree, not necessarily technical, but allowing an understanding of the technological basics of the process to be controlled. The necessary knowledge and certificates can be obtained at numerous courses and trainings. Employers expect the candidate to have knowledge and skills of reading standards and technical drawings, knowledge of laboratory tests and knowledge of requirements and quality tools used to solve problems.

9 . place: Financial analyst

Job description: A financial analyst participates in the preparation of the annual budget, creates forecasts and multi-annual plans and supervises their implementation. His tasks also include creating financial reports and analyzes, cost control or product profitability analysis.

How to start to get a well-paid job? From candidates require a university degree, preferably in an economic faculty (e.g. finance and accounting). Some universities offer the “financial analyst” specialty (eg University of Economics in Katowice). The future analyst should be prepared to work with large databases and to use information systems of management accounting and supporting systems. The tasks of the project manager include: team building, prioritizing tasks, creating a schedule, identifying and solving problems, monitoring budget and expenses, and reporting progress.

How to get started to get a well paid work? One of the ways to gain basic knowledge of project management is studies (eg postgraduate studies in project management at the University of Warsaw). However, for this well-paid job as well, skills are more important than education. You can get them on numerous courses and trainings. Employers also pay attention to certificates such as Prince2 (the training can be found, for example, on inprogress.pl) or CAMP (you can prepare for the exam, for example, during the Udemy.com training) ).

7. place: Programmer (general position)

Job description: Only the 7th position of programmers on the list of the best-paid jobs may come as a surprise. However, keep in mind that this is an industry with many different functions. Among them are some of the best-paid positions in Poland, such as software architect (25% of employees earn over PLN 15,860 gross) or Senior Java Developer (25% of employees earn over PLN 14,000 gross). Programmers’ tasks include creating computer programs and applications using programming languages, as well as testing and improving them.

How do I get started to get a well-paid job? In the IT industry, specific skills count much more than education, and many programmers are so-called self-taught. 6. place: Financial controller

Job description: The financial controller supervises the company’s finances – incl. by supervising accounting activities, verifying financial statements or compliance of expenses with the assumed budget. His tasks also include the assessment of the company’s situation and advice on reducing costs. The financial controller presents the threats and opportunities to improve the financial situation of the organization. His duties also include preparing an annual budget and a multi-year plan, analyzing profitability, or preparing management reports for the company’s management.

How to start to get a well-paid job? Employers usually expect a candidate to have a university degree in economics, preferably in finance and accounting. He should also have several years of experience gained in financial institutions (e.g. as a controlling specialist). Extensive knowledge in the field of financial analysis or knowledge of financial law is indispensable. The financial controller should also have international financial management certificates (e.g. ACCA – Association of Chartered Certified Accountants or CIMA – Chartered Institute of Management Accountants).

5. place: HR business partner

Job description: The HR business partner in cooperation with the managers of a given company ensures that the team management method supports the implementation of the strategic goals of the organization. He not only develops an employee management strategy, but also implements and supervises it.

How do I get started to get a well-paid job? The candidate should have a university degree related to HR. Some universities offer special postgraduate studies in HR Business Partner (eg Warsaw School of Economics). An ideal HR business partner should, above all, be able to combine business goals with the so-called soft HR. The necessary experience in the field of Human Resources can be gained, for example, by working in the HR department or as a career consultant or HR specialist (e.g. in InterviewMe).

4. place: Legal counsel

Job Description: Legal advisers provide legal assistance and represent their clients before courts and offices. They handle administrative, economic, labor, civil and family matters. Their duties include preparation of pleadings, legal opinions, draft contracts and other documents in the current activities of the office, coordinating the flow of documents and ensuring their completeness, or issuing legal opinions.

How to start to get a well-paid job? In this case, you must complete legal studies (6 years) and legal apprenticeship (3 years), and then pass the bar exam. Thanks to this, you can be entered on the list of legal advisers. The counselor must also have full legal capacity and enjoy full civil rights. Without the need to complete the apprenticeship, they can take the legal adviser exam, among others doctors of law or people who have gained several years of experience in the profession (e.g. they have been an assistant judge for at least 5 years).

3. place: Brand manager

Job description: Brand manager, also known as Brand Manager or Brand Manager, is responsible for promoting the company’s products and their marketing and sales success. His work is particularly important when introducing a new good or service to the market. His duties include creating market plans and strategies, as well as managing promotion teams and thus increasing sales and profits.

How do you start to get a well-paid job? Employers look more favorably at people with higher education in the fields of marketing and management. Usually, it is necessary to have a very good command of English (brand manager positions are created mainly in large, international companies). The candidate should have knowledge and skills in the field of marketing, advertising, promotion and public relations.

2. place: IT security specialist

Job description: These specialists in companies deal with both physical security (e.g. biometrics, CCTV cameras, magnetic cards for buildings), as well as the area of logical (e.g. creating and managing data protection systems in the network). Banking, insurance and other financial services have the greatest number of job openings for this position. Demand for these specialists is increasing all the time due to the increasing number of cyber attacks.

How do I get started to get a well-paid job? Often (though not always) employers require higher technical education (e.g. telecommunications, IT). The candidate should have mastered the basics of programming, know IT security verification tools and good practices in the safe operation of IT systems. He should also have no problem with administering systems such as Microsoft or Linux.

1. place: Key account manager

Job description: A key account manager is a person responsible for contact with the most important and largest clients (so-called corporate clients). On the one hand, he looks after and advises them, on the other – he negotiates the terms of sale of products or services. His tasks also include coordinating the implementation of contracts, analyzing market data regarding the industry, consumers or competitors’ activities. Key account manager works closely with the marketing department, including during promotional campaigns.

How to start to get a well-paid job? Employers expect the candidate to have a university degree, preferably economic (e.g. for management and marketing) or technical (in the case of companies from the ICT industry). However, experience in sales (e.g. as a sales representative) or in marketing (e.g. a promotion specialist) is the key. The candidate must have high presentation and negotiation skills, know English very well, be resistant to stress. He should also be well-versed in the industry of his future employer.
