Acid drop

About acid in the Bible we can read in two contexts, in positive and negative. Positive, when it is consciously added to bread so that it (bread) grows and becomes large and tasty, serving the household for consumption. Negative as the “leaven of the Pharisees and Sadyceans”, that is, human science, which ultimately brought death instead of life, in the second case this leaven is most often compared with unleavened bread and the souvenir of the Israelites’ departure from Egypt. This topic touched me a lot and I have been going with it for over two weeks now, examining it and pondering in my heart God’s message also for me from this teaching.

Yesterday after a long time I decided to bake the kids and myself a bun, the matter is very easy, because I have a machine for which products are thrown in strictly according to the instructions, then the machine is turned on and after 2.5 hours the house is filled with a beautiful smell and the bun is ready, this warm, straight from the machine is the best J Among the products yeast is also to be thrown into the machine. This is where dry yeast and Oetker yeast are used, because the dough is not good for others. This yeast, just like our biblical leaven, you won’t bake bread without it.

It’s already the fourth week when my wife lives in the UK, so I am all the more concerned that the children do not run out of anything and that they do not miss their mother too much. During the winter break, they spent ten days with their grandparents and friends from Wrocław, the eldest is preparing for the final exams and helped me transport children to and from Wrocław, the young driver is very fond of the car, but I must admit she is doing well. The wife waits in the UK for confirmation of a criminal record and starts working in the local Nursing Home, taking care of the elderly, and because she is a midwife and English teacher by education, she will cope perfectly in this situation. The people of the Church help her a lot and support her, even they have already engaged her in the service of translating sermons in the local community.

It is perhaps one of the greatest things in God’s Kingdom that wherever we go there are God’s children and that without further ado they accept, love, trust, help, support, understand. I also experienced it in Russia once, when our way to Siberia led through communities where we were everywhere welcomed, fed, spent the night and prayed with and for us. This is the time when we can practice the word of the Lord – “Truly, I say to you, no one leaves home, brothers, sisters, mother, father, children and fields because of Me and for the Gospel, so that he did not receive a hundred times more now, at that time, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields, in the midst of persecution, and eternal life in the future. Mar 10: 29-30.

Well, back to acid. This key passage is found in I Cor. 5,6-8 – 6 You have nothing to brag about! Don’t you know that a little leaven leavens the whole dough? 7 So throw out the old leaven, so that you may be new dough, for you are wrong. For Christ was sacrificed as our Passover. 8 Let us celebrate our feast in this way, not using old leaven, leaven of wickedness and wickedness, but – unleavened bread of purity and truth.

Reading the context of this passage, we learn that Paul admonishes the Corinthians for tolerating the sin of fornication – namely, that the Church tolerated a person who had intercourse with her father’s wife, her stepmother. Admonishing them, he commanded them to cast him out from among themselves. Arguing with words about acid. Through this illustration, he showed us many truths and interesting thoughts to consider. The Old Testament and the practice of the Jews said exactly what should be done during the Passover, the feast, as we probably know, comes from the time when the Israelites left Egypt for the promised land. It was happening in a hurry, when the last plague took place, that is, the death of the firstborn, including the son of Pharaoh, the Egyptians already wished the departure of those through whom these plagues came. They were so happy that they left that they gave them gold, silver and other gifts as thanks. On the other hand, the last supper before going out was to eat the lambs that had been slain, to obtain the blood that was smeared on the doorposts was a sign and protection against the Angel of Death.

Actually the matter is quite obvious, but the picture is very interesting. The Israelites celebrate the Passover for seven days, in advance of this time the house is cleaned of any acid, bread, etc. Pots are scalded and the whole house is cleaned completely. What symbols in this passage are the removal of the sinner from the Church which is the house of God. We discover this truth in the Apocalypse when Jesus walks in glory among the seven candlesticks that symbolize the Church and even churches. He is in the Church, if you think you can live outside the Church, then you are very wrong. During Passover, there are many things on the table reminiscent of that day, a glass of salt water symbolizing the crossing of the Red Sea and tears shed during the Egyptian captivity, a white napkin covering three pieces of unleavened bread called matzo. Maca points to the haste in which the Israelites left Egypt. The bone on the back of the lamb’s leg, symbolizing the lamb and its blood on the doorframe, four cups of red wine symbolizing this blood, bitter herbs (often horseradish), on which tears flowed reminiscent of the plight of slaves in Egypt, and others.

As for the Passover for us, we read that Christ was offered as our Passover, and thus we became a dream, and in some translations we became unleavened.

For Jews, therefore, Passover meant –

– Angel of Death crossing Egypt killing all firstborn. He killed those whose doorposts were not sprinkled with lamb’s blood.

– Israelites transition from Egypt to the Promised Land, to Canaan,

– transition from death to life. After all, the Israelites in Egypt were condemned to death by means of murderous labor. Let us remember that even every born Jewish boy was killed.

For Christians, means –

– Christ’s transition from death on the cross to resurrected life

– in Christ your transition from spiritual death to spiritual life has been accomplished or may be.

Ephesians 2: 5 says:

“And we who died through the fall, he revived with Christ – you are saved by grace”

Where did we Christians come from? Have we come under the authority of Pharaoh, from Egypt to Canaan?

No, we have come out of Satan’s rule, from this world rule, sin’s power, into God’s Kingdom!

We read about this spiritual exit in many places in the N. Testament, incl. at:

Acts 26:18: To open their eyes, to turn from darkness to light, and from Satan’s authority to God, to be forgiveness of sins….

Romans 6:22: Now, set free from sin and put to the service of God, you have profit in sacrifice and your goal is eternal life.

Has Christ become and is your way out of slavery to sin and into life with God?

We read that “Christ was sacrificed as our Passover.”

Not only did Paul speak of Christ as the Passover, but Christ pointed to Himself as the new Passover, as a spiritual exit and passage. After all, he said:

St. John 10: 9 I am the door; if anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and he will enter and leave and find pasture.

The Jewish Passover (Easter) illustrates through its symbols, is a shadow of still other spiritual truths of Passover which is Christ, e.g.

The Paschal Lamb obviously pictured Christ as the perfect Lamb (John 1:29). Therefore such a lamb was to be without blemish (Exodus 12: 5, cf. Hebrews 9:14),

All leaven was to be removed from the households before Passover (Exodus 12: 15,19 13: 7).

Acid represents sin, hypocrisy, anger and perversity (Luke 12: 1, 1 Cor. 5: 7-8, Gal. 5: 9).

Maca or bread made without leaven, from flour and water symbolized the sinless body of Christ.

God said to Pharaoh:

“… let my son go, so that he may serve me. If you refuse to let him go, I will kill your firstborn son. ” (Exodus 4: 22-23)

Who was the son Pharaoh was about to release?

Of course Israel, as we read in:

Hosea 11: 1: When Israel was young I loved it and called my son from Egypt.

God spared the firstborn Israelites in Egypt. Why, because the blood of the lamb was above the entrances to their homes.

Who is God sparing from spiritual death today? Those who wanted the blood of the firstborn Son of God to be sprinkled on the entrance to their hearts.

Put simply, God will spare you if you would ask Him to forgive your sins through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Why?

Because – “He is a propitiation for our sins, not only for ours, but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1 John 2: 2)

There are a few more things that should pause us to think about, cleaning your home, which is your heart. Unleavened bread is the food that is appropriate during the Passover, in which we, people reborn by God’s Spirit, find ourselves all the time if we abide in the Lord. However, if there is acid in us, that is: and here I would like to think about what can be the acid that spoils the unleavened bread, which can cause the growth of acidified and not unleavened ones. The Lord Jesus spoke about the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadicaes. And today there are many who, for human glory, human teachings, traditions and rituals, and sometimes not to change anything, feed people with acid, and then not unleavened food grows but acid, which becomes lethal.

We can too acidify your unleavened food with your schematic thoughts, sticking to traditions and customs instead of the living God. We can create and believe in theological and dogmatic truths, accept and confess them, and have no relationship with God. We cannot allow anything to entrap us, because Christ the Lord is our Passover and we are His unleavened bread. For we are his work (EF) and not ours or the world, to serve ourselves or the world. This truth touched me so much when last week I was returning from Świecie to Chełmno over the bridge over the Vistula River, on my right hand there is a beautiful view of our city and God spoke to me in this fragment of K or. 5 10 It is not about the fornicators of the world in general, nor about the greedy and extortioners or idolaters; because you would have to leave this world completely.

Leave this world it is so completely to be captured by the Lord, but as long as He wants, we are partially in this world in order to be His light, and if we are only and only because He wants it, it means that we are above this world and beyond the devil who rules it, if we are in Christ. If this truth is deep in our hearts, with a life focused on doing the Lord’s will and growing in Him, then we are really winners, not because we win in a worldly style, but because we win in a divine style that may not even be noticed by the people of this world. This also means that there are still many in this world whom the Lord wants to call, and He is holding us so that we may bring them to the Father’s house. This truth pierced me in the car like an arrow of God and I called again, Lord, release the Chełmno prisoners of war, Lord, have mercy on this city, after all, you have the keys of the abyss and death in which they are today. Ap. 1.18

So we are so wonderful not because of ourselves, but because of Christ, who is our Passover, or exit, living in Him gives meaning to who we are, and His will in our lives makes us that we are building the Kingdom of God and working with the Holy Spirit gives meaning to our life in this world.

Yours in Mr. Kazik J.
