WALKING HARNESS

A walking harness is the most common type of dog harness. They are intended for everyday walks with a pet as an alternative to a collar. They can be made of various materials and have a variety of colors. There are two types of walking harness: the so-called guards and walk-in (also known as step-in).

Guard harnesses seem complicated, but putting them on is really easy. They have the shape of two circles connected by stripes at the top and bottom. We put the smaller circle around the neck and fasten it with a buckle – just like the collar, put the larger circle around the dog’s chest and fasten it with the buckle. The circumferences of both wheels are adjustable, which, within the selected size, allows additional adjustment to the individual needs of the dog. Attach the leash to the top of the dog’s back and… go for a walk!

Walk-in / step-in harness has a relatively simple design. Thanks to this, putting them on is not complicated. It is enough to spread them on the floor, and inside the two triangles formed in this way, place the front paws of the dog. The harness should be lifted, surround the dog’s chest with them and fasten it with a buckle on its back. Attach the leash right next to the buckle and… go for a walk!

HARNESSES FOR PUPPIES

There are guard harnesses on the market designed especially for puppies. The front part of the harness, which hugs the toddler’s chest, is made of a soft material. The harness is also more built-up. An inquisitive and playful doggie requires special attention. It happens that in the interests of its safety you have to hold down the leash sharply. Thanks to the harness for puppies, we do not have to worry about hurting our pet.

SPORTS HARNESS

Sports harnesses are designed for dogs that accompany their owners during outdoor physical activity. They are designed to ensure maximum comfort and safety for a dog that runs on a leash.

The most popular are the so-called sledy – more elaborate than a stroller harness. Their design is somewhat reminiscent of the harness that is used in dog sleds: they end near the dog’s tail, where there is also a place for attaching a leash. This design is designed to optimize the distribution of forces generated while pulling by the dog and thus reduce excessive stress on the joints and skeletal system. They are suitable for canicross, bikejoring or dogtrekking, i.e. all popular sports where the dog is in front of us and pulls a bit forward. During joint training, we should also remember about a lanyard with a shock absorber. Traditional guards will also work for jogging with the dog.

VEHICLE HARNESS

Every passenger traveling by car must wear seat belts. This applies to dogs too! It is necessary to use special car harness . The harness is attached to the seat belt with a special buckle. Car harness often has a special foam in the place of the chest, which absorbs the jerks of the vehicle. Importantly, they are adjustable, they do not restrict movement, so the dog can freely change positions and even lie down comfortably for sleep. The harness itself can also be used as a walking harness.
