“All those who believed were together and had everything in common.”

So the first community, its origins, we believe, are described in the Acts of the Apostles. But from the Gospel of St. John, we learn that things were different with this community. When the Lord came, Thomas was not with them, there were still many others, and the Evangelist did not mention the women. One can assume and even be sure that the experience of faith is quite different, as evidenced by the very special meeting between Thomas and the Master. Not everyone has been given a similar grace, but Jesus relies on his disciples, because from now on they are to be ‘touched’ – a community of believers that has experienced mercy. Jesus forgives them, he does not remember what is wrong. Interestingly, not so much will each one bear witness to Him, but as a community for one another; “By standing with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, they eat their meal in joy and simplicity of heart.” The ability to build a community is to gain faith in others. This is the starting point, the task facing Jesus’ family to be born, we would say, the first Christians.

So what, I think there will be a few saints in the community if they fail to prove themselves in this most important task? So what if they achieve success, win titles, gain recognition, and even turn out to be worthy temple builders. if they do not have the ability to gather the faithful around His Table, not limited to celebrating only the liturgy of the Holy Mass. The Lord is my Shepherd – how beautifully the words of the Psalm resound in the surroundings of nature, a beautiful landscape, but also when I am filled with joy and peace: “my soul glorifies the Lord”.

Peace to you! – unusual greeting. They were not a harmonious group of students, jealous of priority, election, love, as well as social status and functions. And today it is no different. Peace to you. You have been distant, and you will become close – this is what seems to emerge from the greeting. Jesus, although he knows well the mental condition and views on the world of religious conditions, treats him kindly, in contrast to those who, looking at the deeds, attitudes and actions of the disciples, lose faith. It’s hard to believe.

Polish faith – wrote Fr. J. Tischner – “has gone through various trials throughout its history, but has never experienced an attempt at radical negation of the real risk of condemnation. The radical negation of faith is neither atheism nor secularism. Radical negation is the possibility of condemnation “in faith” and “in spite of faith.” The Polish faith was not a faith like: “I am with Christ, even if the Church cursed me!” Ani: “I am with the Church, even if Christ turns away from me.” No one has ever cursed this faith, as has that of Luther, no one has ever revealed the darkness of destiny to it, as before Calvin’s faith. Also Polish philosophers, who sometimes criticized her, spared her the most painful thing – exposing her appearances. There was no Nietzsche in Poland who would tell believers that their God “died”. (…) In return, the Polish faith heard only praise. This belief did not grow out of critics, it grew out of praise.

Was he right? Not further than on Easter Sunday, I hear about bad Western faith that has turned into liberalism, and ours has become undefiled. Whose credit is this? Our pastors – you have to answer. After all, by speaking in this way, while building this kind of narrative, they point to themselves as actual witnesses. The most common way of self-deception is to absolve yourself and blame others. Sometimes I get the impression that this is our national specificity, and some take an example from others. Without an enemy or a threshold – this is the motto of life. Undoubtedly, it is a community, something we have in common, into which Christ should enter when he greets him with the words: Peace to you! Standing at the door of our temples.

Poland stands as temples, how long and wide … One is real, invisible at first glance, but it can be touched and seen in a completely different way. “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and everything else will be given to you.” His justice has little to do with what the hierarchs announce to us, as proclaimed by the new metropolitan of Krakow, which sometimes slips out of the mouths of some bishops in the belief that they speak out of faith or faith. If this speech unite us, it would be of the faith that breathes a new, enlivening spirit. It would not be difficult to believe in the God of Catholic hierarchs. Meanwhile, one would like to repeat after Nietzsche: He died, your God died and never rose again, because you do not seem to be a blessed and happy community. The merciful will receive mercy. Maybe this is the root cause? Perhaps we also need to have mercy on God. Have mercy on your God – good man.

I don’t know what a community should look like in His plan. I do not have the ability to penetrate this sphere of reading God’s intentions. I am also not satisfied with the descriptions of the Evangelists as to be certain, because they are typical examples of “masculine” vision. Gospel according to St. Nobody found Marta or Maria Magdalena on the cards, which does not mean that they do not exist. The problem is that few read it. And reading consists in the will to follow the path of the Other, after all, He is in the community of both.

They had everything in common. If you consider the meaning of “being together” in more detail, you may become convinced that it is not only about connections, dependencies resulting from the need to have a roof over your head, to sit at a common table to eat and drink. It is also about the space to build deeper bonds that condition this ability to be together. The temple built by the parishioners over the years is their property, but much more to them belong all the gifts of the altar, everything that comes from the Spirit is unlimited. We are facing problems that have been affecting the Church – the Christian community for centuries, because they are a wound on the body that is not difficult to believe in, because everyone is wearing it …
