To watch Netflix on Sky, you need to activate the Entertainment Plus offer or be a subscriber of this service. Here’s how to do it
From October 9, 2019, Netflix is available to customers with a Sky Q set-top box. The agreement between the two companies represents an important turning point for the Italian market and shows how different tools are able to integrate to offer users the best possible experience.
Sky customers with Sky Famiglia and Sky Q subscriptions will be able to activate a discounted Netflix subscription for 2 or 6 euros less than the list price, depending on the specific requirements to be met. With the advent of Netflix, the Sky Q set-top box “external applications” is enriched, which has so far included DAZN, Spotify, YouTube and Vevo.Sky has also introduced a new offer for those who do not yet have a Netflix subscription. It’s called Entertainment Plus and offers the ability to watch Sky content and TV series from the video streaming platform directly on your personal profile. Netflix – Sky: What’s on Offer
Sky customers with a Sky Q Platinum, Sky Q Black or Sky Q Fiber set-top box will find the Netflix app in the App section. You can access the app with your credentials if you already have a Netflix subscription, or by subscribing to the “Entertainment Plus” offer, which allows you to have a discounted subscription to the video streaming platform.
What is the Entertainment Plus offer
The Entertainment Plus offer is dedicated to people who already have a subscription to the Sky Family package and the Sky Q “family” set-top box. Intrattenimento Plus costs EUR 15.39 per month and includes a Netflix subscription and a Sky Family subscription.
Subscription to the video streaming platform varies depending on the type of set-top box. People with Sky Q Platinum with an active Sky Q Plus service will receive a Netflix Premium subscription, which allows you to watch Ultra HD content and up to 4 accounts at the same time (the monthly subscription cost is 15.99, which is discounted to 9.99).
Sky Q Black or Sky Q fiber customers will be able to activate the Netflix Standard plan, allowing you to watch HD content on up to 2 devices at the same time, which costs 11.99 euros and is reduced to 9.99 euros (with a discount of 2 euros) .
How to activate Entertainment Plus
The procedure to follow to activate the Entertainment Plus service is very simple. You need to go to TV Series, select Netflix and then “Entertainment Plus”. Then follow all the steps on the screen and enter your personal PIN code to complete the purchase. After completing this step, you will receive a confirmation email and an on-screen message. If you are already a Netflix subscriber you will have to follow the same steps, but you will have to enter your credentials once the Netflix app is launched. This way, the payment for the monthly subscription will go directly to Sky’s account.
Good news for Now TV subscribers as well. The Netflix app will also appear on Now TV Smart Stick and Now TV Box.
How to opt out of Entertainment Plus
There are no problems with opting out of the Entertainment Plus service. You can cancel your subscription at any time and continue viewing the content until the end of the month.
