Prices for these machines are as high as their power: starting at $ 5,999 for a base version equipped with an 8-core Intel Xeon processor, 32GB of RAM, a single Radeon Pro 580X graphics card, and a 256GB SSD . Concurrently with the new Mac Pros, Apple unveiled the new Apple Pro Display XDR professional monitor with a 32-inch Retina panel, 6K resolution and a price tag of $ 4,999 (standard glass version) or $ 5,999 (nano-textured glass version). Mac Pro 2019: Tech Specs
If these are the minimum specs for the new 2019 Mac Pro, reading about the maximums is downright impressive. That’s four graphics cards in total, with 128 gigabytes of dedicated RAM and a total processing power of 56 teraflops. That’s a staggering 56 teraflops, allowing you to edit video in real-time at resolutions up to 8K, for example. In order to keep such a “monster” ready for work, it also needs a monstrous power supply: the highest configuration requires a power supply with a capacity of 1.4 kW, which is practically half a meter of a home.
Mac Pro 2019: Design That Gets Discussion
The design of the Mac Pro 2019 is very different from its predecessor and largely resembles previous models. The engineering of this workstation leaves nothing to chance, not least because in the case of this type of components, even the housing must be perfectly designed to ensure easy access to the interior and, above all, adequate cooling of the electronics. There are, however, critics of the front of the new Mac Pro, which is full of holes to facilitate air circulation.
