Oppo Watch 2 will be presented tomorrow. But here are the possible final pictures and some tech specs the day before
The second generation of the smartwatch from the group that aims to take the second position in the global ranking of smartphone manufacturers. There is no shortage of expectations for Oppo Watch 2, and it cannot be otherwise, given how good the first generation was.
First of all, Oppo Watch 2 is expected to continue the path set by its predecessor, namely convincing value for money. It would also be important for Oppo Watch 2 to come with a hardware package that could best support the next Wear OS revision for which Google is working with Samsung: both companies, or rather two giants, have worked hand in hand in the design of Wear OS 3, so much so, that in Seoul they will put aside the proprietary operating system Tizen, but from the first rumors it seems that the OS of the big G will have very stringent hardware requirements that could rule out a few products. Oppo Watch 2 is unlikely to be among the excluded, but we’ll find out more tomorrow.
Design Oppo Watch 2
The world-famous tipster Evan Blass tried to thwart Oppo’s plans by distributing today a few photos of Oppo Watch 2, which in terms of scenery and level of detail, may be the photos that Oppo will send to the press. And it wouldn’t be the first time that Blass or other colleagues have succeeded.
The lines of the Oppo Watch 2 are clearly similar to those of the first generation, with a square layout for which Oppo designers drew their inspiration from the industry benchmark, the Apple Watch, and a display that seems even more optimized than in the past. It is possible that Oppo will keep a double construction, with one part in aluminum alloy and the other in plastic.
There is no information about the size of the enclosure yet. There is no doubt that the Oppo Watch 2 will be available in two sizes, but it is not known if the company will make any changes or confirm the previous generation of 41 and 46 millimeters. For example, it is rumored that the smaller variant might be 42 millimeters.
Oppo Watch 2, technical specification possible
In addition to the alleged press photos, Evan Blass outlined what the technical specification of the Oppo Watch 2 should be. The company is betting on its new smartwatch, and has already stated that it wants to offer a battery life of 2-3 days on a single charge: there will be many improvements to be made , as autonomy was one of the weaknesses of the first Oppo Watch.
And it will depend not only on the size of the battery, but also on the performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 chip, which will apparently be used in the Oppo Watch 2. This will be supported, it is said, by the Apollo 4s co-processor which will be entrusted to all those tasks that do not require a lot of energy: this will relieve the powerful Snapdragon Wear 4100 and should achieve autonomy, promised by Oppo.
Internal memory is said to increase from the current 8 GB to 16 GB, there will be eSIM, GPS, NFC, heart rate monitor and stress level measurement.
