Olga Demidova’s life from the very beginning was quite successful. She studied in France, became a model, traveled around the world and, as a result, settled in Moscow, where she worked in various PR agencies until she opened her own, quickly taking her place on the market. It seemed that she had achieved everything that could only be dreamed of a simple girl about. But once she left everything and went in Zimbabwe to stay there forever.

The wind of wanderings

Olga was born in a family of geologists and, it seems, it was this fact that determined her entire future life. As children of actors from an early age, absorb the atmosphere of theatrical backstage, so Olga inhaled the wind of wanderings from childhood. At first she moved everywhere with her parents, changing the cities, streets and schools. And at the age of 16, the selection in the exchange program was held and went to a small French village in Lorraine.

She did not know the French language, and where she happened to live, they did not speak Russian or English, which she knew. At first, the teenage girl had a hard time, and therefore she often cried and … listened to the radio. From somewhere she knew that this would help her learn to perceive speech by ear. And one fine morning she got up and actually spoke. Since then, there have been no places of tears. She lived in a farm family and, in addition to studying at school, studied some kind of purely domestic skills. For example, in those years she was able to take birth at a cow.

Then there was a return to Russia, receiving a certificate of maturity and admission to the university. More precisely, in two at once, in Saratov and in France. She was enrolled in both educational institutions, but, of course, Olga preferred France. She had a choice, Paris or Nancy, and she did not want to stay in the capital, deciding to return to the familiar Lorraine. In the fourth year, she sent her photo to a modeling agency, passed the casting and began to take part in numerous shootings. Now it was not her parents who paid her studies, but she herself, and also helped mom and dad.

After graduation, Olga Demidova moved to London, where she received a profitable contract. The work of the model allowed her to go around the whole world and get acquainted with how they organize filming, think through topics and create small stories.

New stage in life

In parallel with the work of Olga Demidova, at the insistence of her mother, she received another education-an agronomist-biotechnologist.She studied in Krasnoyarsk, where her parents lived, and where she herself came twice a year for sessions. A busy schedule of work and study led, as a result, to chronic fatigue and loss of interest in the modeling business. At some point, Olga dropped everything and returned to her father's house. True, she could not sit in one place for a long time.

Soon she was already in Moscow, where at first she felt almost the same as during her school trip to Lorraine, with the only difference that she knew the language, but she had no friends in the capital. Yes, I didn't find a job right away. Soon she was offered to try herself in a PR agency. She had not encountered this area before, but enthusiastically began to study all the subtleties and nuances.

Olga liked the work in PR agency.

She gained invaluable knowledge and acquired the necessary connections, changing several agencies, and then felt the strength in herself to open her own with a friend. Soon the girls got their first orders and the agency began to flourish. Once she, along with actor Yuri Kolokolnikov, who starred in Game of Thrones, received an invitation to Fashion Week in Zimbabwe. And even decided to go there.

True, they survived only two days of shows, and then went to the Mana Pools National Park, where they stopped in a tent camp and were able to enjoy communication with wildlife, see lions, antelopes and elephants next to them, and not behind the fence. It seems that Olga Demidova never experienced such boundless happiness in her life.

Six months after returning to Moscow, the girl experienced a panic attack and thought about what was happening in her life. For two months she stepped aside from any work, later she moved to Berlin, where a friend invited Olga to work with her in the cinema. And then she again ended up in Zimbabwe, where she helped organize the filming of the film.

Place of happiness

Africa literally conquered the girl.

There, Olga, along with a team of filmmakers, ended up in the Wild Is Life nursery, intended for baby animals that were left without the care of adults. Roxy Dankverts was founded in 1998 by Roxy Dankverts with the help of her son, Jos, who founded this unusual children's home located right on the family farm. The entire film crew became friends with him, to whom he also provided all possible assistance. And Olga, when the shooting in the nursery ended, even announced that she was ready to marry Jos for the sake of the prospect of staying in Zimbabwe. And he generously invited the girl to stay for a couple of weeks and just relax. Olga Demidova flew to Russia six months later to introduce her future husband to her parents, and returned to Zimbabwe, where she has been living for five years now.

Nowhere else Olga Demidova felt so happy.

At first, the couple lived on a family farm in Harare, where Olga actually, to the best of her ability, helped her husband in the nursery. True, it is impossible to say that she cared for elephants; rather, she visited them.Such a serious matter as nursing babies remaining as a result of the actions of poachers without mothers requires training, knowledge and certain skills. Therefore, Olga helped her husband so as not to harm animals.

Soon after the birth of the son of Noah, the couple moved to the small town of Victoria-Falls. Nearby, Jones founded a camp where the elephants are transported from the nursery, ready to return to their natural habitat. Over time, Olga realized: she was not enough only to help her husband take care of animals. During the time spent in Zimbabwe with her husband and his amazing family, she realized that she wanted to benefit. People and animals, their family and the whole planet.

The family is engaged in the planting of seedlings.

At the same time, she was sure that she should only do what she knew and knows how. And, as it turned out, her experience is actually considerable, but how could the skills of a model or specialist in public relations help her in Zimbabwe? Time showed that she had to remember a lot.

In Africa, the problem of resuming natural resources is acute. For example, the father of her husband Olga Demidova is engaged in the cultivation of tobacco. In the course of production, tobacco companies burn a lot of trees, instead of which they simply must plant new seedlings. At first, the Olga family raised seedlings for them, later launched a joint campaign with Bushtracks, transporting people to Victoria-Falls on a steam train. Now 1 dollar from each ticket sold go to seedlings.

And then Olga Demidova remembered her model past and decided to launch her own brand of vintage clothing. She found a like -minded person and thanks to her she was able to open the amazing store The Honeyguide, located in the village of ElePhant’s Walk Artist and Shopping Village, near the legendary waterfall Victoria. By the way, the young Queen Elizabeth came here at one time, and Olga herself had a dress very reminiscent of the one in which the princess then celebrated her 21st birthday.

Today, in the store of Olga Demidova, stunning beautiful and, without exaggeration, say exquisite outfits. Some of them have their own interesting story, and some are sewn specifically for the store. And here you can purchase vintage furniture and a seedling tree, which will be planted in a nearby village from the buyer's face.

Olga Demidova is happy to visit Russia, it happens with his parents. But he invariably returns to the country that made her reconsider her values, learn to appreciate what you have, gave a meeting with amazing people and, most importantly, it was there that she met her future husband and gave birth to her beloved son. And she already dreams of new grandiose projects, in which there will be a place for her favorite elephants.

Olga has many more plans.

Olga Demidova is far from the only resident of Russia who changed life in a metropolis to distant countries. Some even decide to move to the island of Papuas and live there, feeling almost their queen.
