Think more and look at the details

We need to see many threads at once, see how projects, departments, goals influence each other. Without a broad look, we will always be in chaos and rush. At the same time, there are activities that require an in-depth look at details.

Often, when we fly high, we miss details that are of great importance and can become a ticking bomb.

Think strategically and act

Everyone knows that they must act, carry out tasks, meetings, reply to e-mails, design. However, too much effort causes loops, fatigue, making the same mistakes over and over again.

Not everyone knows that he should spend time strategically thinking, risk analysis, predicting various actions, linking different components together, analyzing what actually leads to results. However, there are those who mainly think, analyze, dream, but are reluctant to act.

Think fast and don’t think

Many people think too slowly or don’t think at all. It carries out actions, but does not have self-reflection. They are like robots. There are times when we need to run a slot machine, but it must not be stupid, thoughtless operation.

Quick thinking is dynamic thinking, focused on not wasting time on crap that draws you into unnecessary discussions. In order to operate efficiently, we need to think efficiently, analyze quickly or be able to enter the state of “not thinking”, the state of “here and now”. It is not a brainless state, it is a state of stillness, centering, contemplation where you quiet your mind to take a distance, calm your thoughts.

Take responsibility and delegate it to others

Those who can bear more responsibility earn more. Influence is for those who can withstand pressure. It will never change. But to go higher, you need people who will do more than yourself. That’s why you need to be able to delegate responsibility. It is something more, something different than delegating a task or purpose. You have to be able to distinguish it and be able to do it.

Take the initiative and give space to others

The leader is always those who have an idea, show initiative – talk about it, act towards it. Sitting, waiting, performing for others is for the performers – they always have less influence and income. However, you will never get very far if you do not give room for creativity, ingenuity of others.

Even if you feel that you are open to others, you may fall into the so-called the trap of genius, i.e. dominating others with your creativity. Then the excess of your initiative takes the space of others.

Be spontaneous and orderly

Many people would like to have freedom, ease, space for decisions and spontaneous actions. Others are afraid of it and want to have everything prepared and in order. Neither of these extremes are good.

Spontaneity gives flexibility, the ability to react efficiently. Order gives clarity, predictability. For some, spontaneity planning is best, for others ordered spontaneity is best.

Press down and release, close and quit

Some people give up too quickly and quit. Others put excessive pressure on themselves and others to close each project.

Once my teacher at an acting workshop said: In the theater, follow the rule: pin… go, let go, burn… go, let go. And this principle also applies in business.

Drive creative laziness

A friend of mine once said: Adam, I have two parts in me: a lazy one and a comfort one. I want to have a lot, earn a lot, but I want it to be easy.

I asked him: What, is it successful?

He replied: Not as much as I would like to, but my lazy person is a creative lazy. I constantly think about how to do something better with the lowest possible cost and effort.

Grind and implement

A lot of people do things, work hard, but the question is how often is he perfecting, correcting, and how often is he basing on old standards and making the same mistakes over and over again.

A lot of people suffer from perfectionism – they would only ever improve, because they are afraid of failure and criticism. They think they don’t accept low standards, but are actually afraid to come out with an idea, design, or work out.

In the Silicon Valley, a saying was created that refers to the principle of creating a product / company: Good enough for now, safe enough to try.

The other is: If you are not embarrassed by what you have released into the world, you have waited too long and polished your idea too much.
