1. Sales representative – an effective CV template in Polish

wzór CV przedstawiciel handlowy

CV template – sales representative. See other CV designs.

Imagine you are looking for a candidate for the position of a salesperson or sales representative. What do you think is the most important in this position? What skills and qualities should your ideal candidate possess? What makes an ideal salesperson and sales representative? What characterizes a good CV for this position?

In my experience, the most important things in sales are:

  • active sales
  • goal orientation
  • customer acquisition
  • negotiation skills
  • sales techniques
  • building business relationships

If you are a sales representative and want to create an effective CV, be sure to add these keywords to your document. Thanks to this, your CV attracts the employer’s attention.

How to gain the employer’s attention?

If you want to stand out from other sales representatives, write an interesting professional summary (it is a must-have on a modern CV). This section is intended to highlight your advantage over other applicants.

Your career summary should answer the employer’s 3 most important questions:

Who are you and how long have you been in sales? (e.g. “I am a sales representative with over 5 years of sales experience B2B . “)

What is your most important professional achievement? (in the case of sales, it is worth describing here your successes in achieving your goals, e.g. My sales targets are on average 120% . “)

Where do you want to find a job? (“ I am currently looking for new professional challenges as [job title] .”)

Put your professional summary at the beginning of your professional CV. This allows the employer to see that you are creating a document tailored specifically to his advertisement.

A good professional summary consists of a maximum of 3-4 short and clearly worded sentences.

Want to know what else to enter in the “career goals” section? Read this article:

“Career goals in your CV – 4 tips for describing them” (read).

In addition to the summary, describe the positions in an interesting way. In the next section, you will learn how to do this.

What is worth highlighting in the reseller and sales representative’s CV?

Most candidates use CV templates from the Internet to create their CV or find a CV template and copy a ready-made list of duties. There is much more you can do to make your CV more effective! Highlight not only the duties performed, but also your achievements.

What could be important for a potential employer looking for an effective sales representative? Try to find answers to the following questions:

  • How many percent are you meeting your sales targets?
  • How many new customers did you attract in the last quarter?
  • what effect did your price negotiations have? (Did you manage to save money in the budget as a result of the negotiations? If so, by how much?)
  • Were you able to save money for your employers? (percentages and specific actions will be useful here)
  • have you contributed to improving or optimizing a process? (again, percentage change is welcome)
  • Did you come up with an idea that allowed you to do some part of the work faster? (If you manage to specify it, your CV will become even more interesting.)

Choose those achievements that are the most spectacular and directly related to the requirements of the advertisement. Refer to all points that the employer placed in the advertisement for the position of a sales representative. This way you can be sure that you will meet the expectations of the employer almost 100%.

Select 4-5 most important duties and 3-4 most interesting achievements in each position you have held so far. Focus only on those responsibilities and successes that you are most proud of. Consider in particular those achievements that have brought the greatest benefit to the employer.

Remember that an effective CV is brief. (You can easily find a good CV template to download on our blog.)

Use the following method to effectively describe your successes:

I reached target ‘X’ which was measured by ‘Y’ by using ‘Z’.

How would this look for a sales representative? / p>

Use the following method. Divide your job description into 2 parts to highlight your achievements.

Data from – to / Company name – Job title

Responsibilities:

  • I actively implement sales plans
  • I prepare and present a commercial offer
  • I acquire new customers
  • I conduct price negotiations
  • I build long-term relationships with customers
  • I provide after-sales service.

Achievements:

  • I achieve my monthly sales targets on average at the level of 120% of assumptions.
  • I negotiated favorable terms with a key client, which brought the company a turnover increase of about 2% per annum.
  • I acquired 20 new clients, which increased the company’s turnover by 5% per year.

Numbers and percentages are the most memorable for an employer. Add your successes in achieving your sales goals to your CV. Thanks to this, you will increase your credibility. Remember to avoid giving specific amounts of money. You will be confidential if you describe your achievements with percentages.

Note: If you are using our CV Builder , you can easily point your achievements. All you need to do is select the text to be bulleted. This will make the achievements more attractive to the recruiter.

How do I describe skills in a professional resume for salesperson and sales rep?

‘Skills’ is one of the most important places in your curriculum vitae. They often have an impact on the final rating of your application. Pre-made CV templates often do not include this section . At InterviewMe, we describe it in a non-standard way.

Try to draw the recruiter’s attention to the specialized competences that make you stand out. Limit “soft” skills in your CV, eg stress resistance and communication skills. Always add the skills that the employer is looking for from the candidate. Thanks to a well-prepared CV, you will increase your chances of being invited to an interview.

The key competences of a sales representative are:

  • Orientation on target
  • Sales Techniques
  • Building Business Relationships
  • Customer Acquisition
  • Professional Customer Service
  • Trade Negotiations
  • Presentation of the offer
  • Team management (9 people)

2. Effective CV template office worker.

Want to learn how to write an effective CV that will help you get a job in administration? Need advice to create a CV for free?

Before you start writing your CV, think about what the employer expects of the ideal office worker. If you were an employer, what candidates would you be looking for? What competencies would be important to you?

See a sample CV of an office worker .

wzór cv pracownik biurowy

Curriculum vitae template – office worker. See other CV templates.

What distinguishes an ideal administrative and office worker?

  • Carrying out tasks administration and office
  • Coordination of documentation and correspondence flow
  • Organization of meetings and conferences
  • Customer and guest service
  • Preparation and archiving of documentation
  • Caring for the company’s image

Your resume of an administrative and office worker should contain all the keywords from the list above.

Wondering how to get started with an effective CV for an office worker?

Start by summarizing your career in short 3-4 sentences. CVs without a professional summary are hardly legible. Was your career path diverse? If you don’t write your career goals, the recruiter may not understand what you specialize in.

The more doubts the application raises, the lower the chances of a call from your employer. Thanks to the “professional summary / professional goal” section, the recruiter will immediately know who you are, what you can do and what job you are looking for.

If you want to stand out from the crowd, add an interesting summary professional. Remember that there is no one-size-fits-all CV template. Each time you send your CV, match the content to a specific advertisement. The employer will know that you are preparing a CV especially for them.

When preparing your CV, show employers:

Who are you and how long do you have experience in administrative and office work? (e.g. “I am an Office Manager with over 5 years of experience in administrative and office work. ) ;

What is your most important professional achievement? (in the case of administration and office work, it is worth describing the successes in coordinating office work, e.g. “ Effectively I coordinate the office work and manage a team of 5. ”);

Where do you want to find a job? (“ I am currently looking for a new career challenge as [job title] “)

Put your summary at the top of the document. Use 3-4 short and specific sentences.

You’ve already started your CV. Read how to effectively describe your experience.

What is worth highlighting in a CV for an administrative and office worker?

Take a look at the “experience” section of your CV. In addition to the description of the company and position, there is a description of your responsibilities.

Did you know that by adding achievements to your CV you make the description of the experience more interesting? Usually downloadable CV templates simply do not include this section.

Most applicants when creating a resume focus only on the job description. Remember that a successful CV also includes a description of specific successes. Divide the “experience” section into two parts: responsibilities and achievements.

a newly created ‘achievements’ section. Perhaps it seems to you that as an office worker you only answer phone calls, reply to e-mails and you have no real achievements. Many candidates think so!

Look for answers to the following questions:

whether in your company has an employee appraisal procedure?

If so, you can describe your achievements in this regard. Any assessment above expectations or very good is worth mentioning in your professional CV.

Did you save money for your employers?

Perhaps, for example, you found a cheaper offer from an office equipment supplier? (Here percentages and specifying specific actions will be useful here.)

Have you contributed to a process improvement or optimization?

Think about your daily office responsibilities. Did you propose to facilitate a certain activity? Maybe you’ve created templates for answering customer concerns that are used by the entire department. Any of your additional ideas can be your success (percentage change is welcome).

did you come up with an idea that allowed you to do some part of the work faster?

If you can describe it specifically, your CV will become even more interesting.

Always choose those achievements that will be of particular interest to the employer. The standard CV template will not fully meet the recruiter’s expectations.

Compare your description of achievements with the requirements in the advertisement. If your business is looking for an accurate office worker, mention that your reports were 100% accurate.

If your job description includes Excel work, don’t forget to include your knowledge of advanced features for example, macros and pivot tables. This way you can be sure that you will meet the recruiter’s expectations almost 100%.

To sum up, the job description should contain about 5 most important duties and about 3 achievements that will match the advertisement. Show the recruiter that your work has brought a tangible benefit to your former employers.

As an office worker, you probably know that documents that are best read are those that are concise and specific. It is no different with application documents!

The clearer your CV becomes, the better your chances of being interviewed. That’s why you should use one line of text to describe one obligation and a maximum of 1.5 lines to describe each achievement.

Use a proven formula in the description of achievements :

I achieved ‘X’ goals which were measured by ‘Y’ by using ‘Z’.

Use this method in the resume of an administrative / office worker!

Dates from –to / Company name – Job title

Responsibilities:

  • I manage the administrative tasks of the office and secretariat
  • I coordinate the circulation of documentation and correspondence
  • I organize business meetings and conferences
  • I prepare and archive documentation
  • I run a calendar of meetings between the President and the Management Board
  • I provide professional customer and guest service
  • I build a positive image of the company.

Achievements:

  • I implemented a new calendar of on-line meetings, which improved the planning and organization of the Management Board’s work.
  • I prepared a script to answer the most common customer questions, which speeded up the response to inquiries by 40%.
  • I created a customer table in Excel, which facilitates the verification and updating of personal data.
  • I have collected over 9,000 potential contractors in the table.

Now try not to look back at the achievement description above.

What exactly did you remember from my description?

You may have been particularly memorable given numbers and percentages. The same is true of a recruiter viewing your CV. From the entirety of the scanned text, he will remember what was easiest to see and understand.

Fill your resume with concrete successes. You can be sure that it is thanks to them that the employer will remember your CV. In the description of successes, do not mention specific amounts of money – it could be considered non-confidential.

In the next paragraph you will read the most important section in your CV after experience.

How to describe skills in your CV for an administrative / office worker?

Time management and interpersonal skills appear in your CV in the “skills” section?

Recruiters pay special attention to the content in the skills section. Name this section “Specialized Skills.” This will give the recruiter a clear signal that he will find a description of your professional competences there.

The list of key skills should be specific. Pay attention to the requirements in the advertisement. Convert the job description from an advertisement to a description of your competences.

What to enter in the skills section in the resume of an administrative and office employee:

  • Administration / Office work
  • Document management
  • Archiving of documentation
  • Coordination of correspondence flow
  • Planning and organization
  • Bookkeeping and Accounting

  • Order Management
  • Organization of Business Trips
  • Planning Meetings / Conferences
  • Professional Customer Service
  • Touch typing

  • Office equipment support

Take another look at the list above. These are the competences the recruiter will look for in your professional CV for an administrative and office worker!

What else should you enter in “skills” to get an invitation to an interview? Read this article:

3. Polish CV template for the graduate who will give you your first job.

Are you a graduate and you are wondering what, apart from studies, you can describe in your CV? See how to interest a recruiter, even if you do not have the necessary experience.

Analyze the entire period of study in terms of:

  • ongoing projects and volunteering
  • activities in student organizations
  • internships and internships
  • occasional work (if at least some of the duties performed in this job may be useful in the position you are interested in).

If you are inexperienced, the above information will successfully fill your CV.

Purpose professional

Be sure to start your document by creating a “Professional Purpose” section. Adding a career goal will set you apart from other students and alumni.

The content of the vocational summary should answer the 3 most important questions of a potential employer:

Who are you and what were your internships / professional experience? (e.g. “I am a graduate of Finance and Accounting. I did my first internship in an accounting office. “)

What is your most important professional achievement? (in the case of graduates, it is worth describing the achievements related to activity in student organizations or during apprenticeships, e.g. “ I was a treasurer in a student research club for 2 years .”)

Where do you want to find a job? ( “I am currently looking for a new career challenge as [job title] .”)

If you add a career summary section, the recruiter will immediately know who you are what you know and what you expect. Match your career goals to a specific recruitment each time.

Your description should consist of a maximum of 3-4 sentences. Focus on details and short, clear phrases .

What section should be placed under the career goals? You will find out in the next paragraph.

What should be emphasized in the graduate’s professional CV ?

Students and graduates usually start their CV with a description of their education. This is not always the best solution! If you have completed an internship, internship, or contributed in student organizations – show it to the recruiter.

What’s the best way to do it?

Simply put this information right below your career goals description.

You can create the following sections:

Apprenticeships and internships .
Activities (here you can describe your activity in student organizations, volunteering, research group).

Wondering how to describe occasional work in your CV? Think which of the duties may be useful in the position you are applying for. Check the announcement and see what is written in the requirements and skills. This is the best source of information about the recruiter’s expectations.

Select from your experience only those responsibilities that duplicate in the advertisement. Skip the rest.

In the following paragraphs you will see how to do this.

Most applicants focus only on the job description. If you want to interest the recruiter, put additional emphasis on achievements!

Is it difficult for you to define your successes? Try to answer the following questions:

Did ….

  • during your studies you took part in interesting projects; what was your role; what did you contribute to the project?
  • received a scholarship for academic performance; or maybe you took part in interesting conferences?
  • during the internship / additional work you managed to save money for your employers? (percentages and specific actions will be desired here)
  • did you contribute to the improvement or optimization of a certain process? (again, percentage change is welcome)
  • Did you come up with an idea that allowed you to do some part of the job faster? (if you manage to make it concrete, your CV will become even more interesting)

Always choose the responsibilities and achievements that are of most interest to the recruiter. Match your CV with the fields: duties / requirements in the advertisement.

Under each position, add up to 4-5 duties and 3-4 achievements. Write simple and concrete sentences. A professional CV is simple, clear and concise. That is why one duty should take a maximum of 1 line and reaching a maximum of 2 lines.

Use a proven method of describing your achievements. Describe each of your successes based on the following formula: “I achieved the goals of” X “which were measured by” Y “by using” Z “.

See what achievements to enter in the graduate’s professional CV:

Date from – to Bank X – Internship in the customer service department

Responsibilities:

  • I have read the customer service procedures
  • I learned about the workflow of documentation
  • I archived customer documentation
  • I served customers by phone
  • I supported the work of the department and the supervisor

Achievements:

  • I have merged 3 customer contact databases into 1 file, which made my work a lot easier.
  • I updated the data in the newly created customer base (over 700 records).
  • I acquired 3 new customers using the direct search method.

If you include specific tasks and achievements in this section, go ahead it will be easier for you during the interview. The recruiter will focus on what is already on your CV!

In the next paragraph you will read about one of the most important sections of your CV. You will see how to describe it to increase your chances of getting a job.

How to describe skills in the graduate’s CV?

The “skills” section can be quite a challenge for you. Skills are associated with practice, and practice is associated with experience that you do not have. What to write in skills on your CV if you are just starting your career?

The recruiter pays great attention to the skills section of your CV (hopefully you already know how to write a CV). Why? I want to know what you have to offer and if your competencies fit the job.

The skills section may be associated with the following soft skills: communication, creativity, time management, stress resistance. You can be sure that 90% of other applicants describe this section in their resume just like that.

Want to stand out? Convert soft skills into hard skills in your CV!

Think about what you will specialize in after graduation.

A management student with a specialization in human resource management can describe in this section:

  • knowledge of HR
  • selection and forms of employment of employees
  • CSR area
  • methods of training and motivating
  • coaching and mentoring
  • analytical and IT tools in HR
  • employee development planning
  • employee controlling

You acquired most of these skills during theoretical and practical classes during your studies. Why not use these competencies when creating an interesting CV?

Pre-made CV templates often do not include a skills section . In our CV creator (create a CV), you can easily add them and increase your chances of being invited to an interview.

4. An effective resume template for a structural engineer.

Is there a perfect structural engineer resume?

As in any industry, the perfect the CV template does not exist. When creating a CV for a structural engineer, emphasize the following issues:

  • experience in supervision and implementation of investments
  • competences in the preparation of documentation and technical drawings
  • skills in creating cost estimates , tenders
  • practice in preparing take-offs and take-offs
  • the ability to verify the compliance of the work performed with the project
  • the ability to negotiate with subcontractors

In addition, in the CV of a structural engineer we always include information about:

education (higher technical – construction)

building permission

Use the following keywords to create an effective structural engineer resume.

How to Spend Keywords CV?

A professional CV starts with a professional summary. Here in your CV you have the opportunity to introduce yourself to the employer. In the summary, briefly show the employer what you specialize in, emphasize years of experience, mention the most important success and explain your professional development plans .

Candidates rarely use their CVs with the opportunity to present yourself to the recruiter. Most CV templates you can find online start with your education or experience. Then the employer asks himself the question – why exactly did this person apply for this position?

The employer is always interested in motivation to change jobs. Do you want to stand out from other candidates? Make sure that at the beginning of your professional CV the recruiter finds the answer to the question:

Why did you apply for this position?

When preparing your CV, include the answers to the following questions in the job summary:

Who are you and how long do you have experience? (eg “I am a construction engineer with over 5 years of experience in coordinating and implementing investments”. )

What is your most important professional achievement? (in the case of a construction engineer, it is worth describing the successes in the implementation of projects and investments, e.g. “I have completed over 20 construction projects efficiently and on time”. )

Where do you want to find a job? ( “I am currently looking for a new career challenge as [job title].” )

Put your summary at the top of your CV. This will keep the employer at the very beginning find out who you are and what you expect when applying for a given position.

Limit yourself to 3-4 short and concise sentences.

Note: If you are using our resume builder , you will create a job summary section in 10 seconds. Just add “career goals” to your list and they will appear at the top of your CV.

What’s to include under the vocational summary?

Don’t start with education! If you’ve already gained experience, show it on page 1 of your CV. Of course, in the construction industry, technical education (preferably in the field of construction) is important. At the beginning of the document, however, focus on experience (this is more interesting for the employer).

Describe your responsibilities so that can be distinguished from other candidates.

How can you show that you are better than other candidates? What do you think makes you different?

Of course, these are your individual successes and achievements!

Always add achievement section. Write there a description of the 2-3 achievements that you are most proud of. It is important that these achievements are of benefit to the employer.

Not sure what to look for when looking for your achievements? We have some helpful questions for you:

Did you:

  • save money for your employers? (percentages and specific actions will be desired here)
  • did you contribute to the improvement or optimization of a certain process? (again, percentage change is welcome)
  • Did you come up with an idea that allowed you to do some part of the job faster? (if you manage to specify it your CV will become even more interesting)

If you have already found some successes, choose 2-3 which are most important to you. Check if they coincide with the requirements set out in the advertisement. If so, you are well on your way to becoming the perfect candidate in the eyes of the employer!

Be very specific and brief about your successes. One achievement should take a maximum of 1.5 lines, and one obligation – 1 line. Thanks to this, your CV will be legible and very transparent. Long and compact blocks of text scare the employer away. Make sure that the layout is concise and clear (use bullets, underlines).

In InterviewMe we recommend using a fixed formula when describing successes. Try this:

Reached the “X” which was measured by “Y” by using the “Z”.

See how to effectively describe the “experience” in a resume of a structural engineer:

Date from – to Company name – Job title

Responsibilities:

  • I supervise the work of subcontractors and control the execution of works
  • I monitor the quality and timeliness of works and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • I make measurements and take-offs of general construction works
  • I verify the technical documentation and co-create the works schedule
  • I work closely with Works Manager and Site Manager
  • I negotiate the terms of contracts with subcontractors

Achievements:

  • I hired 2 new subcontractors, which lowered the investment costs by 5%.
  • I optimized the use of machines on site, which reduced costs by about 15% .
  • I implemented a new working time monitoring procedure, which increased the efficiency of employees by about 20%.

The above description of achievements shows specific benefits for the employer ( reducing costs, increasing efficiency).

You can be sure that such a CV template will convince the employer more than a CV that includes only the scope of duties.

That’s why fill in your document with specific numbers and percentages!

In a professional CV, the 2 most recent positions are the most important. Try to add 4-5 responsibilities and 2-3 achievements to each of them. You can describe your previous positions more briefly.

How else can you interest the employer with your CV? Read the next section of the advice.

What skills should be highlighted in a construction engineer’s CV?

Section “Skills” should be on the front page of your CV. In the case of an engineer CV, focus on description of specialist skills and not soft skills such as “coping with stress”. Discard CV templates with similar wording.

If you want to create a professional CV that gives you a chance to become a construction engineer, highlight the specific, specialist skills of the candidate for the position.

What will attract the attention of the employer and convince him of your CV? Familiarize yourself with the skills we propose:

  • Estimating and quoting
  • Works contracting
  • Project documentation
  • Bills of quantities / measurements
  • Billing and reports
  • Control of subcontractors
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD
  • Negotiations with subcontractors

5. Effective CV for the position of a marketing specialist.

Do you want to stand out from other specialists in the marketing industry? Discard CV templates from the Internet!

If you are a marketing specialist, I don’t need to explain to you how important a product or brand image is. You probably know better than me how to plan a marketing campaign that will directly meet the needs and expectations of recipients.

Do you want to know how to meet the employer’s needs? Be sure to read the tips created for you.

Thanks to our tips, you will be able to create an effective CV and cover letter yourself.

Look at your experience from the employer’s perspective. What, in his opinion, is the most important in the position for which he is looking for candidates? What qualities and competences does an ideal candidate need to have?

We have created professional application documents for a marketing specialist many times. Although there is no perfect CV template for a marketer , this information is worth emphasizing:

  • planning and implementing a marketing strategy
  • organizing and running advertising campaigns
  • creating promotional / informational materials
  • organization of events, fairs, conferences
  • cooperation with advertising agencies and service providers
  • knowledge of marketing tools ( online and traditional marketing)
  • project management

If you want to interest the employer, use the wording above in your CV. In the next sections of the advice you will learn even more about keywords!

How to make the employer read your CV?

At the very beginning, just introduce yourself. Probably most of the offers you create start with the presentation of the product. The same should be true of your CV.

There is no better start to a professional CV than a good professional summary. If you want to stand out in the market of marketing specialists, take care of a specific and interesting start.

After reading your professional summary, the employer should think – this is my ideal candidate! But how do you do it?

Your summary (as well as the rest of your CV) should directly correspond to the advertisement. Match the summary content to the ad content.

Twoke a professional summary should answer the 3 most important questions of a potential employer:

Who are you and how long do you have marketing experience? (eg “I am a marketing specialist with over 5 years of experience in coordinating internet marketing projects.” )

What is your most important professional achievement? (in the case of a marketing specialist, it is worth describing the measurable effects of your projects, e.g. sales increase by 20% per year. ”)

Where do you want to find a job? ( “I am currently looking for new professional challenges as [job title].” )

Please include your summary in the place that catches your eye first employers. This should be the very beginning of your document. If you do this, the recruiter will find out who you are within seconds. He will see that you suit his / her needs and will remember your CV better than the CVs of other candidates. And you know very well that satisfied needs and cleared doubts are a simple way to win a client.

It’s best if your summary fits in 3-4 very specific sentences. Be short and clear.

If you have already familiarized the recruiter with your initial offer, get down to business. Make sure that your content marketing included in the description of the experience responds to all the recruiter’s needs and dispels his doubts. In the following sections you will learn how to most effectively achieve this goal.

The recipe for an interesting job description is …

achievements above all ! Most marketers will only focus on the job description in their CV. You can make your CV distinguish you from hundreds of the same documents. To make your application more interesting and effective at the same time, bet on your successes!

Focus on their individual achievements. Always include two sections under your job title: Responsibilities and Achievements. This is why your CV will be so effective!

How do you describe your achievements to convince your employer?

As a marketing specialist, you probably use the language of benefits on a daily basis. Do the same when describing your career successes! Specifics and numbers appeal to the employer. Use them in your CV.

To reassure your employer that you are a great fit for the job, try answering the following questions.

Do:

  • Have you managed to save money for your employers? (percentages and specific actions will be useful here)
  • did you have any input in improving or optimizing a process? (again, percentage change is welcome)
  • Did you come up with an idea that allowed you to do some part of the job faster? (if it is possible to specify it, it will be very beneficial)

and what:

  • specific benefits have been brought by your marketing activities (pay attention to specific indicators such as return on marketing investment (ROMI), cost of return on customer acquisition (CAC), percentage of customers acquired by marketing, conversion from generated leads, average revenue from a lead obtained by marketing).
  • you coordinated projects and what specific effect did they have for the client’s / company’s business?
  • events / events were you able to plan and organize?

If you already have a complete list of your achievements (or maybe you have been keeping your success journal for a long time?), try to choose 3-4 achievements in each position.

How do you know which achievement will convince the recruiter the most?

Take a look at the advertisement you are applying for. This is where you will find information about the employer’s needs! The description of yours should refer directly to the requirements included in the job offer. Thanks to this, you can be sure that you will meet the expectations of the recruiter even in 100%.

To sum up, how exactly can a job description in a CV look like for a marketing specialist?

First, select the most important responsibilities (4-5 per position) and the most spectacular achievements (3-4 per position).

Bet on these responsibilities and achievements that you are proud of, that brought the greatest benefit to your employers and at the same time correspond to the description of the requirements in the advertisement.

In the description of the experience section, follow a similar principle as in the summary: be specific and concise. Allocate a maximum of one line for one duty. Your achievements should not exceed 1.5 lines.

Base your description on facts and benefits. Our formula looks like this: I have achieved “X”, which was measured by “Y”, by using “Z”. Such a description of the obligation will not be included in even the most professional CV template with The Internet.

We have prepared a job description for you using the above tips. See the effect of using them in practice.

Date from – do / Company name – Job title

Responsibilities:

  • I manage the strategy of marketing campaigns (SEO, SEM)
  • I develop advertising materials (ATL, BTL)
  • I build a marketing strategy in social media
  • I work with marketing agencies
  • I conduct ongoing market and competition analysis

Achievements:

  • I managed 3 marketing communication campaigns, as a result I increased my product sales by 10% .
  • I implemented a content marketing strategy on the website, which increased the UU rate by 30%.
  • I negotiated a reduction in the cost of marketing materials by about 25%.

In our description, the employer will find keywords, tools, specific numbers and achievements expressed as percentages. This description will be most memorable to him.

Don’t describe your successes with specific amounts of money. The recruiter may find you are indiscreet. Bet on percentages. You will be sure that you will attract the attention of the employer and, at the same time, not reveal any confidential information.

Are you curious how to describe one of the most important sections in your CV? Be sure to read the next point.

Emphasize your competences.

What to do to briefly and specifically summarize all your experience, competences and knowledge?

Create a “specialist skills” section on your resume!

Put this section on the first your CV page (see how our templates arrange this section on your CV here) .

When describing skills, do not focus on soft skills. This is exactly what most applicants using CV templates do. Show your employers your value by using specific, hard skills related to your daily work.

What tools, methods and keywords are associated with the marketing industry? Below you will find a list of specialist skills prepared for marketing specialists. Check if your competences are on it. If so, please add it to your CV immediately:

  • PR / Marketing / Advertising / Promotion
  • Branding / Brand Creation
  • Employer branding / CSR

  • Internal communication
  • External communication
  • Media and competition monitoring
  • Social media / Media relations
  • Information research
  • Text creation / editing
  • E-commerce / E-trends
  • ATL / BTL / SEO / SEM
  • Digital Marketing

Finally, the answer to the question: how to write one perfect CV? Is there a universal CV template for each position?

You already know well what a CV is and how it should be written to be effective. You also know that—

There is no one perfect resume that will suit all recruitments, and even the best resume design does not guarantee success. Similarly with the tools for creating application documents – be sure to find out if it is a professional application (not every free CV creator fulfills its role as well as our CV software).

Each time match the document to a specific recruitment.

The more time you spend on refining your application, the greater the chances of success. This is why we encourage our candidates to make changes to their CVs every time.

Matching a CV to a specific vacancy is very important. Make sure your summary, description of responsibilities and achievements, as well as specialist skills fit perfectly with the specific job advertisement.

Creating an effective CV is all about extracting information relevant to the employer from your experience. Then you will meet his expectations!

How to do it?

Match your CV with the two fields in the advertisement: duties and requirements.

Find in the advertisement the words- keys and enter them in your CV. Note that some information should be moved higher in your CV and others lower.

If a requirement / obligation / skill appears in the first place in your advertisement, it usually means that it is a key issue !

The CV should be compatible with the advertisement and meet every need of the employer stated in it. Thanks to this, the recruiter will get the impression that he has found the perfect candidate!

In the job summary, always match the last sentence with the name of a specific position:

“I am currently looking for new professional challenges as [job name / type]”.

Delete unnecessary information without hesitation (make this is also true if you write your CV in English or any other language). If the advertisement does not mention a given competence, it is not worth including it in the CV.

Information that does not meet the needs of the advertisement is just information noise. They work against you because they distract the recruiter from your experience.

Note: Before using the tips in this article, make sure your resume is error-free as I described in the free ebook – “24 resume errors that prevent you from getting a job” (download)

An effective CV does not raise any doubts! This means that it only contains the information that is needed (= the recruiter mentioned it in the advertisement).

Does the CV have to include your photo? Not necessarily. See: CV – template to be filled in without photo.

What else can you do to get the employer to find the information they need? Shorten the personal data section in your CV. See what to remove personal data from the section and gain space for a description of your successes in the article on personal data in CV (read) .

If you don’t want to create a CV template yourself, check our CV creator (try it out). You will find professional and aesthetic CV templates to fill in.

What else should you include in your CV to make it effective? Read this article:

“How to write a CV for a job? 9 tips [Examples]” (read).

I hope now it will be easier for you to match your CV to a specific recruitment!

Don’t forget about formalities. You must have it in your CV: I consent to the processing of my personal data … – check the current CV clause.

It’s also a good idea to write a cover letter.
