The start of the new Serie A 2019-2020 games is just around the corner. Sky and DAZN have already picked the big games for next season, breaking them down by contract
In the 2019-2020 season, Serie A TIM will be played between August 24, 2019 and May 24, 2020, and soon the European Football Championship in 2020 will take place. Shortly after the Italian Premier League’s calendar was officially announced, announcements were made of 20 “big games” selected by Sky and DAZN, the assignees of exclusive pay-per-view live rights packages.
The 2019-20 season is the second season to be broadcast for Serie A after the British DAZN enters the Italian market. Compared to last year, nothing has changed: Sky, which has packages 5 and 6, will broadcast 16 top-flight matches on an exclusive basis, while DAZN, which has package 7, will broadcast four. Sky will also retain exclusive rights to another 250 league games that are not considered big games. Seven out of ten matches on each match day (excluding those classified as big games) will be broadcast by Sky and three by DAZN.
How much does it cost to watch Serie A matches via streaming
To watch Serie A 2019/2020 via streaming, you must subscribe to Now TV (Sky’s internet platform) with a sports or DAZN ticket. With Now TV, for € 29.99 per month, you can watch 7 of the 10 matches every day of the championship, while with DAZN, at a monthly cost of € 9.99 (which drops to € 7.99 for those who already have a Sky subscription) you can watch the remaining 3 matches. An alternative is SkyGo, a streaming service already included in the Sky satellite subscription.
