What are the Android developer options?
This is a special feature in your smartphone that allows you more freedom in changing phone settings. This mode is called Android Developer Options, and it can be activated by anyone who follows the simple procedure. After switching, various operations can be performed, increasing device control, performance, and some internal and external service configurations. You don’t need root privileges to do this as you can simply override your smartphone’s main settings to access features normally reserved for professionals.
How to turn on Android Developer Mode
To enable Android Developer Options, you must first know the build number, an identification code for your device. To do this, just enter the smartphone settings, select the About phone option and read the code under the building number. On some terminals the path is slightly different, for example on Google Pixel it is Settings> System> About phone> Build number, and on Samsung Galaxy Settings> About phone> Software info> Build number.

Enable USB debugging
Another very interesting option is to create USB debugging, a necessary procedure to handle functions such as typing a password for desktop backup. In developer mode, you can change Android’s animation speed, a process that allows you to speed up or slow it down according to your preferences. To access, simply tap Animation Scale, choose between windows, transitions and duration, set the desired values and confirm. Animations are displayed as you move from one window to another, so setting a lower number will make them appear faster.
Graphics improvements in 3D games
A fifth secret configuration, which can be accessed through Android’s developer options, allows you to change graphics in 3D games by setting the MSAA. It is Multi-Sampling Anti-Aliasing, a filter that automatically manages image pixels to optimize the reproduction of graphics, achieving an ideal ratio between quality and performance. Basically, the higher the pixel sampling rate (2x, 4x, 8x), the better the quality.
