Amazon Original announces new content: what is it about and when Monterossi – series enters Prime Video

Monterossi is a new series based on the novel by Alessandro Robecchi, which will debut on Amazon Prime Video with a unique hero: Fabrizio Bentivoglio. Carlo Monterossi is the main character, a man who accidentally finds himself in a detective and has to find out who wants to kill him.

The main character of Monterossi works on television as an author and can be described as a successful ironic unhappy man. Normal, peaceful existence until someone rings at his door and tries to kill him. In the company of his young helpers, he begins to investigate who wants him dead. The six-episode series is part of the Amazon Original catalog and was written by Alessandro Robecchi, the author of the novel it is based on, Roan Johnson, who also serves as a director, and Davide Lentieri. In addition to Fabrizio Bentivoglio, who plays the main character, the film also guest stars Michele Bravi and Carla Signoris. The only thing left to do is wait for the new investigative series to be released on Prime Video in early 2022.

Monterossi – serial: plot

Carlo Monterossi is a famous TV writer who sips whiskey one plain evening in his Milan house until the doorbell rings. The man goes to open the door, but instead of the delivery man he finds a killer armed with a gun, ready to kill him.

But by chance, Monterossi is saved from attack and begins to investigate who wants him dead, while he himself takes stock of his life: from love for the woman who abandoned him, to work and crises of conscience.

Motivated by a thirst for justice and assisted by young Nadia and Oskar on loan from the television world, he starts working with the police to find out who is trying to kill him. This casual detective, living in a balance between ironic indolence and bluesy longing, will find two professional killers and have to face them while fighting a cruel past that returns and numerous characters along the way.

Actor Fabrizio Bentivoglio stars as Carlo Monterossi himself. The cast also includes Diego Ribon, Donatella Finocchiaro, Martina Sammarco, Luca Nucera, Tommaso Ragno, Bedlù Cerchiai, Beatrice Schiros, Marina Occhionero, Maurizio Lombardi, Gabriele Falsetta and Ilir Jacellari

The actors also include Maria Paiato, Michele Bravi and Carla Signoris.
