I had “I will finally start this book for scouts” planned for today. And unfortunately, before I did that, I looked at the news from Facebook.

And there, in the midst of screaming for the Tribunal, arguing about what Maciej Stuhr said and why, and complaining about what had happened to Poland, it suddenly hit me:

SHOCKING NEWS

There is no confirmation of unofficial information yet, but the name of the hospital, which has long been circulated around “you can kill a child there”, has been mentioned. You can rather trust Mr. Terlikowski, since he took care of it personally. Even if someone doesn’t like their dialectics.

From time to time we receive information about children born as a result of abortion. Some die despite trying to save them, or live with or without a handicap. One in six aborted children survive (data from Canada). The remaining five die because they are put to death – a premature way of birth or bodily injury (e.g. crushing the skull, tearing the body or saline injected into the mother’s uterus). In Poland, the statistics are inaccurate, because abortion is, as I say, “semi-legal” and is subject to – fortunately – rights protecting the unborn human being. As a result, the data is often not entirely true, or falsified.

Hospital on ul. Madaliński in Warsaw is named after the Holy Family for a reason. And it was not without reason that prof. Bogdan Chazan – mainly for not agreeing to have an abortion.

There – in this hospital, still behind prof. Chazan and his predecessors – my four children were born. This is where children are dying now, because someone “in advance” decided, in the name of (paradox!) Of freedom, to allow abortions.

Why did this hit me again? Why can’t I walk past it again without reacting.

Because I imagined it.

Sixth month pregnant – your baby has everything it needs to live. He is human, it can even be seen if someone still had doubts about the biological facts p.t. whether the fetus is human or not yet.

This is what the sixth month of pregnancy looks like in the womb:

Has a head, arms, legs, abdomen, internal organs, breathes, eats, expels, feels. He feels a lot. Pain too. And it can make sounds. He speaks and communicates at the level of his abilities.

This abortion-born baby had this standard of living and communication. It was alive. They were aborted to kill them, and they survived.

A man who is born has rights. I am sorry, but this small piece of humanity had rights – the constitutionally established right to protect the life of a citizen. The fact that he is not registered yet, but still born in Poland. Not to mention the fact that abortion in the sixth month of pregnancy is also quite a serious offense under Polish law.

How – I ask how ??? – because I can’t believe it – the staff of this hospital might not react. After all, it must have been screaming, crying, crying for help, for warmth for food. How’s a newborn baby.

Another thing scares me, as much as the fact that the child died so cruelly. Namely, the passivity of the people who were next to it and there, standing and watching the death of this child. They allowed it. How is this possible?

Could none of those who heard the scream really get it out of there? A born man is entitled to hospital care. No one, no one really could bear witness to courage, faith in life? If I had been there, I would not have allowed it. Even if the police were called, I was fired, they tried to tie me up or threaten me with legal and financial consequences. Perhaps it would even be necessary to fight hand-to-hand, show off the knowledge of the law, eloquence, erudition, maybe even offend someone, curse someone. Well, something could definitely have been done to save this child from death.

A man dies, save him in every way – everyone knows it, everyone does it. It will be everywhere. Basic decency requires us to do so. The human reflex.

Why wasn’t it done in this situation?

When a child suddenly starts crying on a playground, in a shop, outside or on a bus, people feel a natural need to find out what is going on. I have watched it more than once. Anxiety spreads to everyone, people start looking who is crying and why. Even strangers to a child are electrified by their crying.

And here – a newborn, naked, little man who screams out loud, because he is cold, because he wants to eat, because he wants to live, has not aroused pity, nobody’s attention or reaction ???

What kind of people today, in conditions of peace and prosperity, are capable of this? What is our civilization doing to us, a law that cannot protect a human being born, because SOMEONE CANNOT RISK A CAREER? Your surname? Your sense of comfort?

I can’t get it, sorry I can’t.

Some save children, others kill them.

I am on the side of life.

Someone will ask me – why do these emotions come on, this is life …

Yes, that’s life. Next to him is death.

Let me tell you something. Recently, one more thing has been killing me – the level of insensitivity to, for example, the above issues in very young people. Let me add – believers, Catholics, coming from Catholic families.

In religion classes in junior high and high school, when we discuss Catholic social science, the topic of life protection always comes up. I try to show positive films, e.g. about pro-life organizations, stories of people who nevertheless decided to give birth to a child and then did not regret it, reports about the post-abortion syndrome and the salutary effects of therapy, forgiveness, entering the path of life and conversion.

A few days ago, a very young boy asked me: what are you doing this for? Why do you write letters to women who want to be removed? You are interfering in their lives. It’s stupid and you won’t get anything done, because abortion is ok. If someone wants to give birth, if they don’t want to, they can remove it.

– Can it kill? – to be precise.

– No, termination is not a murder. It is the right to freedom.

Exactly. Already 13-year-olds know that abortion is the right to freedom, not killing a person. Nothing will convince them, no discussions, evidence, or even insight into a textbook on human fetal biology.

Then – pissed off, but it was holy anger – I showed them this:

And then the activities of Fr. Tomasz Kancelarczyk and a short history of my involvement in the action of saving one child. Which for me will forever prove that it is worth doing everything to save children and their mothers from abortion. And God will take care of the rest.

There was usually silence in the classroom. This time, these “smartest and enlightened by postmodernity” boys turned their eyes away from Gianna (because it’s sad to look at someone who survived an abortion) or laughed (because she is kind of abnormal). Girls and those less modern, traditional boys were proud of her, you could see that they were really built up with the attitude of this woman who said without embarrassment: I am a girl of God, and girls of God are not messed up.

Why can young people, young Catholics say: yes, you can kill a child if we do not want to have one? Maybe because adults can tear this child in cold blood, crush his head, pour a caustic substance, leave a little living for death and then sign documents. And after that, wash your hands, go for a cup of coffee, talk about a good day at work.

Maybe because adult Catholics, without any remorse, tell their friends and their children, their pupils, that everyone has the right to make their own decision about whether to kill a person or not. They do not penetrate the teaching and wisdom of the Church, not to mention the fact that they do not come into contact with Jesus. Into a personal, deep, very intimate and individual contact with God who is the God of the Living.

Without wise and brave adults, there will be no wise and brave children.

Fear of living in a society where we are at risk of dying at the hands of doctors from birth. It is shortly thereafter to old age, where we will be afraid (and in some countries this is the case) of a hospital, a retirement home or our own relatives. Brought up on the libertarian slogans of the civilizations of death.
